It is all about protecting the commercial interests of Aussie companies and not the safety of our children. I wonder how many children have died in ISOFIX-ready cars using seats only restrained by safety belts over the past 10 years. Having used ISOFIX overseas for my nieces and nephews, it infuriates me that I have to put up with such unsafe seats for my own children.

How terrible that these European car and seat manufacturers have not lowered their standards to the miserable Aussie levels. We value our children – it’s a pity the Australian public servants don’t!!
